Start Brant’s investigation
Complete Seat of the Sovran and one of Brant’s other objectives. At night in the Stardrop Inn, choose Tell me of the false Sovran. Handle the investigation before Feast of Deception.
Find the hidden thieves
- Travel east from Vernworth toward the Nameless Village. If the direct road is blocked by rubble, approach through Eastern Forest to the south.
- In the village, find the Folded Letter in the house on the northern side of the road.
- Continue uphill to Old Noble Manor. Speak to the man inside and exhaust the relevant topics, including Ask about brass.
- Search just northwest of the manor for the entrance to Nameless Village Depths.
- Complete the underground platform trial. At the far end, speak to the thieves’ master twice and choose the yellow quest topics to obtain the false Sovran evidence.
Report to Brant
Return to Vernworth and speak to Brant at night about the false Sovran. The investigation is complete when he accepts the evidence and the quest updates.
Talking only to the apparent master in the manor is not enough. If you have no evidence to report, return to the hidden underground area.
