THE FIELD NOTES
With Dark Arisen installed and a save outside the Unmoored World, speak to Captain Brant at the Stardrop Inn in Vernworth at night. Choose “About the new Arisen…” for Chilling Tidings, or “About the uncovered ruins…” for Lost Rites.
Start Dark ArisenAfter Seat of the Sovran, speak to Brant to receive the Eternal Ferrystone on updated installations. Returning saves that already completed the quest receive it in their inventory; travel still requires a Portcrystal destination.
Fast travelFrom the title screen, open Options → Game Settings → Game Mode and select Hard. Once enabled, you cannot freely return to Normal while keeping the same story progress; finish the playthrough or restart the story with inherited growth and equipment.
Hard ModeWhen Waldhar asks for a place with plenty of tomes, help Kendrick in the Slums and complete The Heel of History to find the underground library. Tell Waldhar, lead him out, and report to Brant.
